Affimerce Opportunity Plot is the historical visualization companion to Affimerce Opportunity Score.
While Opportunity Score focuses on the company’s current fundamental and valuation profile, Opportunity Plot helps users see how Quality Score, Valuation Score, and Opportunity Score have changed over time.
Opportunity Plot is built for investors who want to understand the path behind the score, not just the latest reading.
- Affimerce Opportunity Plot is provided for educational and research purposes only. It is not financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or a guarantee of future performance.
- It visualizes Quality, Valuation, and Opportunity Scores historically inside TradingView.
- It compares how a company’s business quality and market valuation relationship evolves across different market periods.
What does it show?
The indicator plots three historical score series directly on the TradingView chart.

Quality Score
The Quality Score is calculated as a weighted combination of Financial Strength, Profitability, and Growth.
By default, the weighting is:
Quality Score = Financial Strength × 0.4 + Profitability × 0.4 + Growth × 0.2
Users can adjust these weights in the indicator settings. For example, a quality-focused investor may give more weight to Financial Strength and Profitability, while a growth-focused investor may increase the Growth weight.
When some financial data is unavailable, the framework adjusts the calculation based on the available components instead of automatically treating missing fields as weak scores.
Valuation Score
Valuation Score evaluates the company across multiple valuation perspectives, including absolute valuation, cash-flow-based valuation, enterprise-value-based valuation, growth-adjusted valuation, and historical valuation positioning.
Opportunity Score
Opportunity Score combines Quality Score and Valuation Score into a single high-level view. A higher score generally requires both stronger business quality and a more attractive valuation setup.

Relationship to Opportunity Score
Affimerce Opportunity Score and Affimerce Opportunity Plot use the same underlying Affimerce scoring framework, but they answer different research questions.
- Opportunity Score answers: What does the company look like now?
- Opportunity Plot answers: How have the company’s Quality, Valuation, and Opportunity profile evolved over time?
This makes Opportunity Plot especially useful when the latest score alone does not explain the full story.
Two companies may have a similar Opportunity Score today, but one may be improving while the other is deteriorating.
How to use it?
Use Opportunity Plot to compare the movement of Quality, Valuation, and Opportunity over time.
The goal is to understand what is driving a change in the overall Opportunity Score.
- If Opportunity Score declines while Quality Score remains stable, the change may be primarily valuation-driven.
- If both Quality Score and Opportunity Score decline, the company’s underlying fundamentals may be weakening.
- If Valuation Score improves while Quality Score remains stable, the stock may be becoming more attractive as its market price changes.
- If Quality Score improves while Valuation Score deteriorates, stronger fundamentals may already be reflected in a higher market valuation.
The chart also includes visual reference zones for stronger, neutral, and weaker score ranges.
These zones are designed as research references, not mechanical buy or sell signals.
What does the plot reveal?
By plotting Quality, Valuation, and Opportunity together, users can study whether a strong business is becoming increasingly expensive, whether a previously expensive company is becoming more attractive, and whether fundamental quality is improving or deteriorating over time.
The historical view helps users understand the path behind the current score. A single current reading can be useful, but the trend often provides the context needed for deeper research.
How to customize the settings?
Open the indicator settings in TradingView and go to the Inputs tab.
From there, you can choose which score lines are displayed and adjust how the plot appears on your chart.
Quality Score Weights: It adjusts how much emphasis the Quality Score gives to financial strength, profitability, and growth.
The default framework uses Financial Weight 0.4, Profitability Weight 0.4, and Growth Weight 0.2, but users can change the mix to better match their investment style.

- Plots Style: it turns the Quality Score, Valuation Score, and Opportunity Score lines on or off depending on what you want to study.
- Line style: it customizes each plot’s color, line width, and line style so the chart is easier to read.
- Score zones: it adjusts the visual appearance of the strong, neutral, and weak score areas to match your chart theme.
These settings are designed to improve readability and workflow. Changing colors, visibility, line width, or zone appearance does not change the underlying scoring framework. It only changes how the information is displayed on the chart.
